Bio
Ross Hernández is a lecturer of Mexican Literature and Culture at the University of California, Davis. His dissertation, Twenty-First Century Mexican Poetry Between Cultural Policy and Autonomy, analyzes the relationship between poetry, work, and the commodity form through changes in institutional models. His current work on poetry and painting explores the political uses of Surrealism in contemporary Mexico.
