PhD Candidate Jannet Torres Espinoza has edited a book

Jannet participated in the re-edition of a key book of nineteenth-century Peruvian literature: Rasgos de pluma by renowned writer and journalist Abelardo Gamarra (1850–1924), the most important work of this author. The book features an introductory study written by Jannet, offering critical insight into Gamarra’s literary legacy. She also collaborated with Lourdes Orihuela Oropeza on the critical edition, overseeing the text and providing detailed explanatory notes for the more than seventy pieces included in the anthology, which range from costumbrista articles and chronicles to plays, shedding new light on Gamarra’s multifaceted contributions to Peruvian culture.
